As Canada's best-selling  car for over two decades, the new Honda Civic in Toronto will be particularly welcome.

The quick list of important updates for the 2019 Civic includes:

  •
  • Interior updates and improvements.

  • Honda Sensing safety equipment now standard on all Civic trims.

New Look Inside and Out

The 2019 Honda Civic updates its tenth-generation design with a sportier look for more aggressive styling. The 2019 Civic features changes to the lower portion of the bumper and intake for a more sport-themed appearance to go with black casing around the headlamps. Gloss black also adorns the grille wings to further enhance that new appeal.

Individual trim points for the Honda Civic in Toronto will also feature changes to exterior design elements such as chrome trim. New color options will be offered for the 2019 Civic to include Platinum White Pearl and Cosmic Blue. The Civic Coupe model will have an exclusive Tonic Yellow Pearl color option.

Inside the new 2019 Honda Civic is an updated display audio system (on LX trim and above). Redesigned steering wheel controls are now more intuitive and a larger centre console cupholder are also now added. Trim points will see more finish additions to the dash as well, including gunmetal gray and metallic elements.

The new 2019 Civic also has better sound dampening in the floor, trunk, and front fenders and new insulation in the rear fenders to improve on-road noise levels.

2019 Honda Civic Powertrain Options

All 2019 Honda Civic models, except for the Touring trim, will have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission or continuously variable transmission (CVT). Producing 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque, this engine will have improved fuel economy, though numbers are not yet released. The Touring trim will have a new 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and CVT that output 174 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque.

New 2019 Civic Sport

This trim level includes the 2.0L engine and manual transmission or CVT with unique styling cues. Fog lamps, upsized 18-inch wheels, red driving gauges, and paddle shifters are just a few of those cues. Pricing for the Sport trim will fit between the EX and Touring models.
