At Lakeshore Honda, dealership hours
are designed with your needs in mind. Find out the best time to go to a
dealership to shop for a new car.
Dealership Hours: the Best Time to go to a Dealership
When is the best time to go to a dealership to
shop for a new Honda? Dealership hours here at
Lakeshore Honda are designed to be flexible
enough to match your schedule, but we understand that you might like to shop
when there are fewer customers or when the best deals are available. We know
that car shopping intimidates some folks, and we want to make it easier. We're
always thrilled when you walk in the door, and we want you to be just as
thrilled to be here.
The Best Time of Year
Let's start with the best time of year to shop
for a new car. If your current vehicle is getting older or less reliable, you
should trade out of it before it strands you beside the road. Luckily, almost
any time of year is a good one for buying a new car. Some people recommend
September through December as a good car shopping period since dealers are
incentivized to move last year's models as the new year's models arrive, but in
truth we have incentives to move our inventory at every time of year, and there
are always deals to be had. Check out our
Specials page to find out what deals are available right now.
The Best Day of the Week
We're happy to see you any day and our
professional Sales staff will give you their full attention even if the
showroom is jammed with customers when you walk in. But we realize you might
prefer a less busy day. Mondays are a good bet. Lots of people shop on
weekends, but Mondays are much less busy. Studies have shown that buyers can
negotiate a slightly larger discount off the MSRP on Mondays than on Saturdays
and Sundays. Plus, banks and other lenders are open on Mondays (aside from banking
holidays), so it's easier to arrange financing and finalize a loan all in one
day.
The Best Time of Day
So what's the best time of day to shop for a new
car? Well, it gets busier during lunch hours and after 5 p.m. since many people
will come in after work, so if you'd like to shop when it's less busy and you
have the time available, mid-morning and mid-afternoon might be your best bets.
However, some studies have shown that the best deals are available to savvy
shoppers later in the day, so keep that in mind as well.
How Long Should I Plan to Be There?
Let's walk you through the car buying process.
If you have a trade-in, then an appraiser from our Pre-Owned Sales Department
will evaluate your vehicle. This takes about 15-30 minutes, and it's a great
time to test-drive the vehicle you're interested in. Then we'll talk about
financing options. At Lakeshore Honda, you can save a step by filling out an
online finance application before you come in. In
total, the process may take a couple of hours.
